WHO WE ARE ?

Mahavir Sports Industries (SPORT AXE) was established in India by Shri Om Kumar Tyagi in 1992. He learnt his trade as a shopkeeper of sports good. His father was a farmer. After moving village he make sharper his skills at Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India. Mahavir Sports Industries initially traded as a company, utilising "SPOORT AXE" as a product brand. Shri Om Kumar Tyagi started this company on his father's name Shri Mahavir Singh Tyagi.
After 30 years, MSI SPORT AXE remains a 100% Indian family owned business. Third generation members of Tyagi family continue to work at Head Office in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India. We are proud sports equipment manufacturers develop oneself in Cricket and field balls and equipment, protective team wear, clothing and stumps etc. We primarily sell products via existing vendors, online and direct to Cricket League and Tournaments and Cricket Academy and Associations in over 25 countries worldwide.
Mahavir Sports Industries was recognized as a leading hand-made cricket bats and hand-stitched cricket ball manufacturer. The SPORT AXE cricket ball is still hand-stitched in Indian Headquarters by skilled craftsman that have over 25 years experience between them.
SPORT AXE English Willow bats were initially used in the upper level Cricket Leagues from 2001. In the early, 2003s our Research and Development Department go on board on a project to develop a exclusive designed bat for cricket. The result was the SPORT AXE Scoop cricket bat and SPORT AXE Fire bat.
In 2010, Om Kumar Tyagi's son Mr. Shobhit Tyagi (Director of Mahavir Sports Industries) adopted the trading name SPORT AXE due to recognition of the brand. Today, the SPORT AXE cricket bats is the Global Approval at the International Level. And three Tyagi family members are actively involved in daily running of the business, producing over 50,000 cricket bats and equipment a year. We are the only remaining cricket hand-made bats and hand-stitching cricket balls manufacture to oversee production in India.
Our skilled bat maker joined us in 2010 to support our best cricket player's personal equipment needs. The SPORT AXE cricket bat is a centre point of activity and excitement when our sponsored players visit Head Office. In 2013, We organised a cricket team - SPORT AXE at corporate level in India. We offer playing cricket for experts as a proffessional. In 2015, We announced first Cricket tournament in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The name of this tournament is Mahavir Singh Tyagi Memorial Cricket League (Season -1). Community has always been of great importance to the SPORT AXE family and we continue to work extensively with local cricket and cricket communities and sporting boards to support common people initiatives. We are glad to support, sponsor various community groups, events and organisations.
From 2016 - 2024, We have expanded our business to such an extent that today even the best players know the name of SPORT AXE all over the world. We assure our customers that we will fully meet their expectations. And with this belief, today we have more than 10 thousands customers and vendors across the world.
